Joel's finally gone off the deep-end

Joel went off the 300ft high (or so it seemed to me) diving board at the rivi . He and friend Sarah (daughter of David Christoff) wandered out of my sight. I found him scaling the ladder of the tallest diving board at the pool. Sarah dove gracefully, the it was Joel's turn. Joel walked to the end of the diving board and froze. Then he freaked out. The life guard told him to turn around and go back which alarmed him more. IN the end, What made him finally jump was a wasp who came to see what all the noise about. The kids watching clapped.
Then I told Joel I would get him an ice cream and.... the Rivi had run out of ice cream!

Here I am in the 50th year of my life. It is rapidly coming to an end.

wax green beans

• 1 1⁄4 lbs fresh yellow wax beans • 2 tablespoons butter • 1⁄4cup crushed Ritz crackers or 1⁄4cup townhouse cracker (about 6 crackers) • salt & freshly ground black pepper • Cook beans in salted boiling water until soft (not crispy) tender and drain. • Add butter and mix until butter melts. • Add cracker crumbs, salt and pepper, stir to combine and serve.
