Books - now call me obsessed but have a look at this list:

To the Ends of the Earth - William Golding

Stuart a Life Backwards - Alexander Masters

Parades End - Ford Madox Brown

Kavalier and Clay - Michael Chabon

Sherlock Holmes collection - Arthur Conan Doyle

Twelve Years a Slave - Solomon Northrup

Catcher in the Rye - JD Salinger

Frankenstein - Mary Shelley

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy - John Le Carre

Tipping the Velvet - Sarah Waters

The Other Boleyn Girl - Phillipa Gregory

Atonement - Ian McEwan

Small Island - Andrea Levy

The Hobbit - JR Tolkien

War Horse - Michael Morpurgo

The Resurrectionist - James Bradley

Guernica - Dave Boling

Mystery Man - Colin Bateman

Mr Toppit - Charles Elton

New York Trilogy - Paul Auster

See if you can find the connection! I've read three
quarters of them, and not a duff one so far, although The
Resurrectionist is a bit graphic for me. TTSS is FAB and
parades end is great, but hard work, as was to the ends of
the earth. Kavalier and Clay is just beautiful, and Stuart
is also really interesting from a psychology point of
view.

Other good books - Daughter of Smoke and Bone I read last
week and that is fab if a bit weird, and The Room is also
great, especially as a parent.

Love,

Donna
