Sesame Cookies

2 cups butter or oleo , softened

1 ½ cups sugar

3 cups flour

1 cup sesame seeds

2 cups coconut ( I don’t use this because I don’t care for it and the cookies turn out fine)

½ cup finely chopped almonds

Cream butter, gradually add sugar and beat till light and fluffy. Add flour and mix just  until combined.  Stir in sesame seeds, coconut and nuts just until mixed well. Divide dough into thirds. Place one batch of the dough on a long sheet of waxed paper . Shape into long rolls 2 inches in diameter. Repeat with remaining dough. Wrap and refrigerate until firm .

Preheat oven to 300. Cut rolls into ¼ inch slices. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet 30 minutes. Remove to wire rack to cool . Makes about 6 dozen
