“What should I do about the neighbors not mowing next to my garden?”
I’m dealing with a boundary issue—literally and metaphorically. Here are my options:
Gentle Outreach: I could casually mention to them that their unmowed strip is causing seeds to blow into my garden. A friendly “Hey, would you mind mowing that little strip? It’s making my weeding a bit intense lately” could work.
Barrier Option: A simple low edging or mulch barrier along the border may reduce how much seed gets in. Or even a line of plants like lamb’s ear or sedum to create a soft physical separation.
Perspective Shift: This could also be an invitation to embrace imperfection—gardens, like people, are rarely fully under control. Weeds may come and go, but my care and intention remain.🧘♀️
“I plant what rises. I trust what blooms. I love without gripping, and I live without rushing.”
